Tadż Mahal
“Tadż Mahal” is the most beautiful building in India. It’s been built from 1632 to1654 for DŻEHAN - the emperor of India. The tomb was supposed to be stately of memory of his deceased wife. It looks like a palace but it is a tomb. 20 thousand workers built it in 22 years. The Tadż Mahal was made of a kind of marble, which was brought from quarries over 320 kilometers away. Walls are docorated with gems, stones and decorations from type of white marble. There are beautiful sculptures made of gold and black marble inside.
The proportions and perfect symmetry of building amaze every tourist. Gardens and water surrounding building are a delightful view. Entry to temple leads through enormous, splendid golden gate. There are four characteristic towers on next to the tomb - called minarets. This building looks differently in every part of day and it’s always fascinating.
