I live in Szczecin.It is a city with the rights of the poviat, the capital and largest city of the West Pomeranian province, located on the Odra and Lake Dąbie. Szczecin is the third in terms of area occupied (300.55 km², of which almost 24% is under water) and seventh [7] in terms of population in Poland. Szczecin agglomeration center, one of 8 Polish metropolises according to ESPON. According to data from June 30, 2016, the city had 405,413 inhabitants. Due to its border location and proximity to the Baltic Sea, accessible by the navigable Oder and the Szczecin Lagoon, Szczecin has become an economic center of the region. There are seaports, repair yards, yachts and shipping. The city is a tourist center with a large number of monuments. It is an academic and cultural center (opera and operetta, numerous theaters, museums and cultural centers), and is also home to the archdiocese curia and the theological faculty. There is a Marian sanctuary in the town. Szczecin also affects German border areas. Erwin Sellering, the Prime Minister of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, announced in 2013 that the city should play a similar development catalyst for the eastern part of the federal state, such as Hamburg for the western part. Also the Brandenburg district of Uckermark is indicated as a region with strong links to Szczecin [9]. The city is surrounded by three large forest complexes, forests: Wkrzańska from the north, Bukowa from the south and Goleniowska from the east.
