More technology means less communication

Lately I and my friends have been discussing about the new technology problem. I’ve been thinking about the statement: more technology means less communication. I don’t agree with this opinion but I have to consider the question from all angles.

Today more and more people are using the technology appliances., seeing in them only the good sides. But we can’t forget about this weaker points of technology. I want to present my arguments. Using the Internet you can find everything, visit every place or meet many people. Also being connected to an e- mail system is useful and comfortable. But on the other hand, it is known that communication through the Internet will never replace face-to-face encounter and conversation on live. Let’s take another example. I know some people who think that there is no point in being connected to satellite which including channels from all over the world, if you don’t speak the language. Nevertheless being connected to foreign TV helps you to learn this unknown, by this time, language. In addition to this the new technology always means faster communication. You can talk with people from all sides of world, owing to the mobile phone. You may also speak with your friends wherever they are. Isn’t much faster and comfortable?

In conclusion I want to confirm my opinion. I sure that life without the new technological utility would be much more difficult and what is more the communication would be less.
