Wizyta w Malborku - Visit in Malbork
Last summer I visited The Castle in Malbork, in Poland. I had a fantastic time and I learnt a lot about this beautiful and famous landmark.
This huge chateau was built in 13th century and it is one of the world’s largest gothic castle. It was residence of Great Champion of Teutonic Order. In 1945, the castle was over 50% destroyed as a result of World War II. Now, fortress is reconstructed.
Fortress consist of three parts: Low Castle, Medial Castle and Big Castle. All is made of red brick and stone. Chateau is adorned with artworks, such as medieval stained glass and statues of Great Champions.
As soon as I was inside the Castle, I realised that my visit would be a long one. There is so much to do, for example: eating in restaurants, watching work of art and buying souvenirs. In chateau you can see medieval armour, varied weapons and jewellery, which is made of amber.
I was sad when it was time to leave. I had a marvellous time there and I hope to go there again one day.
