Describing of Luwr

The Luwr, ‘the home of Mona Lisa’, is situated in centre of Paris. It is a museum with the greatest masterpieces on the world. This place is an obligatory part of every trip to the capitol of France. It is a centre of cultural life in Paris.
The Luwr is in the shape of horseshoe. In a courtyard is situated glass-pyramide which looks extravagant on the background of old Luwr. Inhabitants of Paris are divided – pro and contra this accent.
On the outside of the biulding we can see beautiful barok sculptures and ornaments. Building is enormous and old – when we are thinking also about masterpieces inside, impression must be mystically.
Inside Luwr is very rich. We can see cristal chandeliers and marble floors. But the most interesring are of course paintings and sculptures.
The most famous is ‘Mona Lisa’ painted by Leonardo da Vinci. This masterpiece is very precious, so we see it through bulletproof glass.
The second work of art. is ‘Venus from Milo’. It is very old sculpture which shows beatufil women without arms.
The Luwr has of course a lot of well-known works. To see everything in museum we need more than week. ‘Home of Mona Lisa’ is beautiful biulding with great works of art. If somebody will be in Paris, he or she must see the Luwr.
