Dance isn’t a sport
This sentence said Mrs Hazel Fletcher, former world master in sport dance. It’s nonsense. She’s on the meeting with IDSF & International Olimpic Organization say: „(...) I hate a sport.” This sentences are criticize by dancer’s and activists.
In 1999 IDSF (International Dance Sport Federation) made poll with question: „Do you are a sportsmen”. 80% dancers say „YES”. It’s (maybe) the best answer fo Mrs Fletcher. Dance it’s really hard sport. You must be strong, have condition, and very shape mentality. I and my friend – dancers take care that dance is a sport.
Dance is candidate to olimpic sports. This sport have relate with other olimpic sport – figure skating. Dance is important in study other sports. For example boxing. „Papa Stamm introduce for training dance. They correct foot work” – say familiar polish boxer Mr Jerzy Kulej.
Mrs Fletcher take care that dance is art. It’s true, however my coach Mrs Ania Andruszkiewicz say that dance in strange and simultaneously beautiful manner unite art and sport. Only if you understand this connect, you understand dance and they beauty. Mrs Hazel Fletcher evidently don’t undertsand this connect. Dance is art AND (!) sport.
Summary, dance is evidently sport. Although isn’t olimpic sport, in dance are playing wolrd championship and national championships. Dance has besides all sports feature. The conclusion for this essay is: DANCE IS A SPORT.
