As the young constantly exchange lots of information on the Internet, they can evaluate their knowledge and think of different ways of reducing their own influence. There are tons of websites on creative upcycling and recycling and it is a matter of honour for many teenagers and young adults to live as Earth-friendly as possible. At the same time, the elderly do not have the possibility to share that much information. The mainstream media they use usually do not give much attention to the environmental problems. The elderly people most often also share a conservative view on life, which means they perceive our planet and all its life as a servant to mankind.
