Listed building (ang. Listed building) are buildings that have been placed on the statutory list of buildings of special architectural or historical significance. This is a common status for approximately five hundred thousand of buildings. The historic building can not be demolished or extended without special permission from the local authorities (which usually consult with the appropriate changes, a central government agency). Owners of historic buildings are commitment laws for repair, renovation and maintenance of buildings, and the failure to meet obligations threatens punishment. The procedure for recognition of objects antique also allows the removal of the buildings from the list, if the entry is found to be erroneous [1]. Although most of the structures that are listed are the buildings, the list also includes bridges, monuments, statues, war memorials, and even milestones and pedestrian crossing Abbey Road, associated with the Beatles. Slightly different systems operate in every area of the United Kingdom, although the basic principles for short-listing are the same.
