Avril Lavinge was born in 1984 in Napanee, Canada . She knew she wanted to be a singer when she was a little girl. First she learnt to play the guitar . Then she sarted to write songs. She was only 12! One day she was in a studio writing songs when somebody saw her and she got a contract to make records for Arista . In 2002 she released her first CD , called Let Go . It sold millions of copies arount the world . Next she went on a tour of the world . After the tour she releasted a DVD of the concerts , called My World .
