Krystyna Chojnowska - Liskiewicz was born in 1936. She was the first woman in the world who made a single-handed voyage around the earth in a small yacht "Mazurek" . She started on 28th March 1976 from Canary Islands and covered the distance of 31,166 sea miles. She called at 21 ports in 10 countries on four continents. She finished her lonely voyage on the Atlantic Ocean in April 1978.
