Children on the Net

The Internet is the best working tool for children. However, it has got not only pros but also cons.

Using the Net offers quite a lot of advantages. One of them ( For example ), children can learn about other countries and cultures in their homes, at any time. Also, they can meet people from all over the world, talk with them and watch them on top of their monitors though constantly upgrade program “Microsoft Net Meeting”. Finally, they can make friends in faraway places by joining a newsgroup, chat group, ICQ or IRC.
On the other hand, the Internet has several disadvantages. Firstly, many children use it for playing games, not for learning. What is more, there are some web sites which are not suitable for them.

In conclusion, the Internet offers many advantages, but children should be supervised when they are using it, and parents must teach them how to use it properly.
