“Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone “ was written by J. K. Rowling who is one of the most popular British writers. The story is set in England. Most of the characters are magicians. It’s a story about an exceptional boy Harry. He’s an orphan and goes to a magic school – Hogwart. Harry fights with his opponent, Lord Voldemort who killed his parents and wants to steal the philosopher’s stone. Harry and his friends Ron and Hermiona try to protect the stone. I won’t give away the ending of the story. I like the book because it is very gripping and surprising. The author has created interesting characters and a magician world. My favorite character is Harry. He’s young and extraordinarily nervy boy. The plot is really moving and absorbing. I was captivated by this story. This book is clearly written and well presented. I recommend this book to everyone.
