London – the capital of Great Britain I have visited. I have seen. I relate. London is a wonderful place to be ! It has great museums with priceless exhibits, old markets, clean green parks and the best shops in Europe. There is something for everyone. London is on the River Thames. Now London has around 7 million people living in and around it. It is a financial and cultural center but it is probably most famous for being the home of the British monarchy. I saw the Changing of the Guard everyday outside Buckingham Palace. London also has some of the world’s best department stores including Harrods. But the most visited place is the British Museum with exhibits from all over the world. In the evening I could go to one of the many theaters and cinemas. In London I traveled on the bus, underground or taxi to get to different places in the centre and around the town. A lot of popular actors, actresses and musicians live in London, for example George Michael, Annie Lennox or John Cleese. Even if you do not see them in the street, you can ,,meet’’ them or other famous people as wax figures at Madame Tusssaud’s as I did. Dr. Johnson once said: ,, When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life’’.
